"God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him."
John 3:17
I asked the one in charge if I could invite Robin (not his real name) to be one of the leaders. "Do you know his personality?" he asked me meaningfully. "Yes, sir," I said bravely. Robin didn't have a good reputation especially among the more judgmental members of the other teams. But I observed his dedication to serve. With the rejection he lives with, he compensate by spending more time in our cluster, the more accepting members of the ministry. I felt that, if given a chance, he can still develop more self-esteem and grow his potential.
"It's up to you to take the risk," was the permission I got.
Yes, it was a risk in a way, but it was worth taking. I though that if Robin mixes with the more levelheaded, committed leaders of our "not perfect" group, he can join the tribe who are struggling to grow in the Lord and meet with more success.
Jesus set pace by coming to save us, not judge us. Who are we to live otherwise?

REFLECTION: As a servant of the Lord, do you tend to use others rather than love them?
